Jan. 31

Well I just cant have a normal week of work in this month of January it seems like.
Elder Villanueva has been a good elder but now has to go home to work some things out-so in other words I'm with two other misioneros, Elder Salazar and Elder Isaak, from Boise Idaho, he has like 4 months in the mission and by the way I complete 7 months and the time is going a little fast now and all the mission is equal with 2 by 2 companions except me we're the only threesome. A new gringo is coming in this week, and they´ll do some changes and give me a different mexican comp and i´ll be back working full time in Barrio Tancol again, now we´re trying to work the two areas and its been hard. We had 5 hours of church yesterday two blocks in my ward and the 3 in theres. It's been a good experience for the 3 of us. Elder Salazar is really cheerfull, easy going, and loving to the people, and talks to everyone in the streets , but elder Isaak does not speak, not even at misioneros let alone at investigators so go figure that one why they´re together. haha. I´ve been trying my hardest to get him to talk to me and Salazar but its rough, you ask him a question in Spanish or English and he just looks at you blank and takes 10 min to respond with a one word answer. I need you to send one of them cow shockers to get him to respond. haha i told him that once and he gave me that blank look of ´´WHY?´´ so I've been able to keep compy with Salazar and try to help Isaak work, I guess he hasn´t put two and two together that your never going to be able to fulfill your calling if you dont talk to anyone and that the work is more than just walking around followng your comp and sweatin your gonads off, you got to help and teach and baptize and that all comes with opening your mouth, But its been fun Salazar is fun to work and teach with. so its my goal to help the two out how I can and then when I get back in my area go to town again working.

Other than that, we aint nothin but good ole boys, me entendeis? oh yea and take advantage of missionary opportunities. and help out the less actives, you never do know if they´ll return until after you try to help them out. Its kind of like the 2 Nefi 25:23 scripture, that you dont recieve salvation until after doing everything could, so ask yourselves if your helping others like you should be with all you could do, and like D&C 4 says that when you thrust in your sickle with your might brings salvation to your soul, so if you want salvation, thrust in your sickle which means do something, do the work, faith with out works is dead so if you want to help people and you have faith it means your doing somithhiing. there´s two talks by Elder Bednar you should all look up, called Asking in Faith and Learning By Faith somethin like that. and in one of the two he says that the person that prays at the pulpit to please bless all that couldnt make it this week to return the next, but doesn't try to help anyone during the week come, their prayer is in vain because there is no faith in it. The same applies with the missionaries, so if we pray please bless the missionaries find people to baptise, where´s the faith in this prayer? it means that we as members are looking as well to find people for the missionaris to teach. Pres. Gordan B Hinckly gave a talk once, and its in Preach My Gospel Chapter 9 (Preach My Gospel is the book you should all be studying, its not only for the missionaries its for whoever really wants to magnify they´re church calling) and he says that we as members are sometimes confused that mission work is just for the full time missionaries. he says on the contrary that we as members are full time finders, and the missionaries are full time teachers, so how are we doing at that at home, finding people? so thats the basics be a doer of the word and not only a hearer like James the brother of Jesus says. like moses 1:39 says Gods work and glory is bring to pass the eternal life of man, and if we want to be like him, whats our work and glory? and what are we doing to fulfill it?

Help out the ward and dont be fritos or muertos, being a member is more than just going to church giving our talks and being a good person. it means living it everyday. and being a good example to people because were mormon should come from our love we have for God and not just ´´I should be a good example cuz im mormon´´ and being a good example didnt baptise many people, but being the example and inviting people to come unto Christ did and does, so do it. Helping others helps God, and your own salvation
be good and get er done, and whats going on with my truck?

(We don't know who this boy is anymore-he is not the Sam that we sent off 7 months ago!!!)
